We popped out this springy afternoon to the Lincoln Center to catch a performance of the New York Philharmonic as part of their Young People's Concert series (started by Leonard Bernstein back in the late '50's). The focus of the performance was Spanish orchestral music but the highlight was a traditional flamenco performance with a singer, a guitar player and, naturally, a dancer. A very powerful and dramatic performance.

Pierce worked a long time on this one: a pastel of a Sentinel from the Matrix movies. From the Matrix Wiki, a Sentinel "...is an autonomous killing machine that patrols the ancient sewers and passageways of the dead human cities of old in search of Zion hovercraft or wandering, defenseless humans unlucky to be walking in the tunnels." Yikes! Click to enlarge.
