Graffiti Practice
One of Pierce's favourite exhibits at the Liberty Science Center. Unfortunately it's also one of the busiest exhibits but if it's your calling speed is of the essence on the street too! (click on the photo for the album)
Pierce and Jimi's Science Center Adventure
An action filled afternoon at the Liberty Science Center, Liberty State Park, NJ. Pierce and Jimi gave themselves and the exhibits quite a workout. As the photos show the boys were in constant motion. We finished the afternoon by watching the digital 3D SUN movie with those hilarious glasses which are half the fun. Skelety
Skelety is a character Pierce invented to join the Pokemon line-up of characters. Pierce has a collection of foam core Pokemeon characters and he wanted to construct one for Skelety. So Pierce drew up the component pieces (first picture), we scanned them, scaled them, created flip-side images, lined things up etc using GIMPshop and Inkscape, printed the result onto plastic film, stuck it onto white foam core, cut it out and assembled it (whew!). While the result looks great (second picture), it will be a while before I embark on a project like that again. (click on pix to enlarge - as usual)

Monster Mailbox of Valentines
Inspired by Harry Potter's "Monster Book of Monsters", Pierce created this "Monster Mailbox of Valentines" for holding his Valentine's Day cards at school.

Bedroom Studio
Apartment living forces one to live fully in every room. Here's Deirdre's studio where she photographs her scarves for her online shop. Over the past year we've accumulated more and more lighting equipment. Our latest acquisitions are three reflector umbrellas. We only started working with them today and we see a marked improvement in picture quality. Good thing everything collapses compactly!
