Lights and Toys
Today we caught the final day of the Ingo Maurer exhibition at the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum. Ingo Maurer is a really fun lighting designer whose sensibilities agree completely with our own. Deirdre had already seen the show a couple of months ago and thought that Pierce and I would really enjoy it. We did!
Then we moved on to FAO Schwartz so Pierce could spend his Christmas money from Nanny and Grampy Bond. We were disappointed to discover that FAO Schwartz is not the store it once was. It was so poorly stocked and staffed that we decided to move on to the ToysRUs flagship store in Times Square. That store provided the full on sensory assault we were looking for!

Bowling in Union City
It was a cold Sunday so we decided to partake in an indoor 'sport': bowling! To my surprise, the 5 pin bowling I used to play as a kid (with the smaller bowling balls) is considered to be uniquely Canadian. So, we all played 10 pin today (the bigger bowling ball with the three finger holes). And no, none of us forgot to let go of the ball and slid down the lane.
