I joined Pierce's Grade 2 Class on their field trip to the Liberty State Park Interpretive Center in New Jersey along with his teacher Mrs. Kubinsky and another parent Barbara Bravo (Tori's mom). The children spent the morning making their own field guides to take on an exploration walk in the park. They identified the various local species of trees and plants including the
Ginkgo Biloba tree a living fossil which dates from the Permian period 270 million years ago (needless to say Pierce's favourite). We had a perfect crisp Fall morning, a great view of the Statue of Liberty and thankfully a short and not too bumpy school bus ride! Click on the picture to view the album.
