The first day it really felt like summer this season. We all scurried up to the East side to catch the
Cai Guo-Qiang exhibit at the Guggenheim before it closed later this week. Wow! I'm certainly glad we didn't miss it. It was great. Unfortunately photography isn't permitted in the Guggenheim but the artist's
website has a good overview of his work. Sculptures, gun powder, fireworks, and packs of wolves all combined to make for a stimulating visit. Pierce especially liked the
wolf pack.
After emerging from the museum into a warm sunny day we decided to walk back down 5th Ave to visit the critters at the Central Park Zoo. We arrived just in time to see the last public feeding of the sea lions. (click to enlarge photos)
