Pikachu vs. Croc
Pierce and I put together this little movie over the past few weekends. We used the usual tools I've mentioned in previous posts: iMovie, Anime Studio and GimpShop. Pierce sketched the story board below before we started shooting. We followed it precisely as you can see in the final movie.

Christmas Eve at St. Matthew Trinity
We took part in a delightful children's Christmas eve service at St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran church in Hoboken, a lovely old church on Hudson St. The carols sounded great with the accompaniment of their organ that dates back to 1877!

Christmas Greetings!
We've had quite a few people ask us about this picture. We took it at summer's end at the newly renovated Liberty State Science Center in their 5-and-under play area (which we managed to get into). The mirrored hemispheres mounted on the wall caught our attention.

Tallis Scholars at St Thomas Church
Deirdre and I stole away to see a recital by the Tallis Scholars at the grand St. Thomas Church in Manhattan. They performed brilliantly despite the periodic rumbling of the subway trains passing beneath the church. I was most intrigued by the music of two composers from the program: Josquin de Prez (1450 - 1521) and Jacobus Gallus (1550 - 1591). Gallus in particular played games with music I would never have imagined to occur so early in Western musical history.
